Founded in 2013 under the charitable trust of Guru Shaakia Foundation, ITM & HMCRC is dedicated to advancing research in Indian traditional medicine. Located in Chennai and Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, we focus on developing and manufacturing herbal products and cosmetics through eco-friendly and sustainable methods.
Five Elements Approach
Our research is inspired by the ancient concept of the five elements — Nilam (Earth), Neer (Water), Kattru (Air), Aagayam (Space), and Neruppu (Fire) — and we emphasize their therapeutic applications in the preparation and formulation of traditional medicines.
Ayush Research Focus
We are committed to scientifically investigating and providing evidence for the concepts of Siddha, Ayurveda, and Unani (AYUSH). These ancient systems of medicine have yet to be fully explored through modern scientific methods, and our goal is to establish their global recognition through rigorous research.

Our mission
Our mission is to explore and develop Indian traditional medicine by researching palm manuscripts and folk literature that document the work of Siddhars — ancient medicinal scientists who are believed to have possessed supernatural knowledge and the ability to achieve immortality through the use of natural herbs, animals, birds, and metals.

Our vision is to establish AYUSH systems globally as a scientifically proven and recognized approach to health and wellness. By validating the ancient knowledge of Indian traditional medicine, we aim to promote sustainable and holistic healing practices worldwide.
